Selecting your AC Fans
QwikFlow offers many models of AC Cooling Fans. These models range from 80mm up to 254mm in size. CFM performance ranges from 10-665 CFM. When selecting AC Cooling Fans you need to consider some of the following information. You can also view our AC Fan ordering guide for more information.
AC Power / With AC Cooling Fans, there are two voltage ranges available. (100-125 Volt) or (220-240 Volt)
Air Flow / Measured in CFM, (Cubic Feet per Minute) will determine the amount of heat dissipated from within a system or subsystem.
Speed / RPM/Revolution per Minute (Speed will effect noise levels)(Noise is measured in dba)
Noise / The rotation of the ac fan blade and movement of air, causes noise.(What acoustic noise level is acceptable?)
Size / AC Cooling Fans are available in many sizes and shapes. How much space is available for a fan inside a system or subsystem? (example: 80mm x80mm x25mm)
Wattage / The larger the ac cooling fan, the more amperage is needed to operate.(What will the power usage be and how will it effect the system or subsystem? (example: 0.34A)
Static Pressure / The intake, exhaust and componets inside the system effect the performance of the ac cooling fan. Pressure is created as air moves within a system. This measurement can vary depending on the restrictions within the system. (Measured in mmH2O/ example: 1.2mm)
